This module addresses complex governance leadership, accountability, stakeholder interests, ethical judgement and board-level decision-making in uncertain contexts.

Assessment: Advanced board scenario analysis and governance leadership report.

Evidence: Strategic governance report with justified recommendations.

  • LO1: Critically appraise advanced governance challenges.

    1.1 Critically appraise governance challenges in complex organisational contexts. 1.2 Evaluate competing stakeholder, ethical and accountability demands. 1.3 Analyse the implications of governance failure.

  • LO2: Exercise advanced governance judgement.

    2.1 Evaluate incomplete or contested governance evidence. 2.2 Develop defensible board-level recommendations. 2.3 Justify decisions in relation to accountability, assurance and organisational purpose.

  • LO3: Develop strategic governance leadership recommendations.

    3.1 Produce an advanced governance leadership report. 3.2 Defend recommendations using evidence, principles and professional judgement.
