This module develops capability to evaluate enterprise risk governance arrangements at board and senior leadership level, including risk appetite, controls, assurance and resilience implications.

  • LO1: Critically evaluate enterprise risk governance.

    1.1 Analyse risk governance structures, accountabilities and escalation routes. 1.2 Evaluate the relationship between enterprise risk, controls and assurance. 1.3 Identify weaknesses that could affect organisational resilience.

  • LO2: Evaluate risk appetite and assurance arrangements.

    2.1 Review risk appetite statements against organisational objectives. 2.2 Identify assurance gaps, overlaps and weak evidence. 2.3 Evaluate the adequacy of risk reporting for board decisions.

  • LO3: Develop an enterprise risk improvement plan.

    3.1 Produce a board-level enterprise risk review. 3.2 Recommend proportionate improvements with rationale.
