Assessment method: Board risk paper and risk appetite exercise.
Purpose: This module develops the ability to oversee significant risks at board level. Learners examine risk appetite, strategic risk, risk ownership, escalation thresholds, control confidence and board challenge. The module helps learners move from listing risks to forming governance judgements about exposure, mitigation and assurance.
Evidence requirements: Learners prepare a board-level risk report, evaluate a risk appetite scenario and recommend actions for oversight, escalation or assurance.
