Purpose: This module gives learners a practical foundation in how boards create value, provide oversight and protect accountability. Learners explore board purpose, director duties, governance structures, board papers, minutes, delegated authority and the behaviours that support effective challenge and collective decision-making. The module is designed to help learners understand governance as a practical operating discipline, not just a compliance requirement.
Evidence requirements: Learners produce an applied workbook, short governance scenario responses and a reflective note explaining how board routines, roles and records support better organisational decision-making.
